Chinese Lantern Festival 

The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival has returned to Koka Booth Amphitheatre for its eighth year, from November 17 to January 14. Don't miss the chance to experience over 40 breathtaking silk sculptures.

Marla Dorrel Park — Kids Together Playground Repairs

Beginning Monday, November 27, new play equipment will be installed, and existing pieces will be replaced. We encourage you to visit other playgrounds while work is occurring. Work is expected to take a week and is weather-dependent.

Thanksgiving Closures

Cary Town Hall and most staffed facilities will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24 — for Thanksgiving and resume normal operations on Monday, November 27. While curbside collection will operate as scheduled Monday through Wednesday, Thursday’s collection will move to Friday, November 24. GoCary will not use fixed routes or Door to Door services on Thanksgiving Day. Learn more.

Downtown Urban Open Disc Golf Tournament

Cary Town Hall, 8 a.m. 

The Cary Disc Golf Tournament (DUO), co-hosted by the Capital Area Disc League, benefits the Town’s "Play It Forward Scholarship Fund." DUO, a premier urban-style tournament, has consistently sold out for more than a decade, highlighting its lasting popularity. Spectators are welcome. Learn more.

Cary Downtown Farmers Market

Join the Cary Downtown Farmers Market for the winter market at its temporary location at the parking lot of The Perfect Piece each Saturday. Find a wonderful lineup of vendors offering all locally made and locally grown items. Shop for freshly-harvested produce, humanely-raised meat, and artisan-made goods. Stop by the info booth to learn about their matching program for SNAP/EBT. Children can also get their very own Farmers Market Passport and participate in the Eat-A-Rainbow program, which encourages children to eat healthy, nutritious foods.
